Music & Movement Schedule & Fees

Colourstrings offers a complete music education system that will take a child from the earliest stages of the music & movement program through to instrumental lessons at conservatory level.

  • *3 week trial for newcommers $18.

  • Non-enrolled siblings under 10 months may attend their registered older  siblings class for free! (please read policy 5 below)

Spring Session 31st March - 10th June 2008  (10weeks)

All weekly classes are held at St. James Community Square, 3214 West 10th Ave (map). If you do not see a suitable schedule please let us know as new classes are often added.

Please note! This progressive training  leads onto the 3-4 year class. Parents that are currently registered in this class will be given priority for the 3-4 year September 2008 schedules.

Please note! This is a progressive 1 year program that runs from Sep-June &  leads onto the 4-6 year class. Newcommers welcome when space allows.

Children should be 4 years before 31st September 2007. Class size limited 6-10 children . This training prepares for future instrumental study and leads onto the highly reputable Colourstrings Instrumental training if children wish to learn.

Payment

  • Special discounts: 3 week trial for newcomers $18, 10% Family discount  will be given to the second and third child of each family.
  • Registration is ongoing throughout the academic year when spaces are available. Please call 604 730 5418 for updated fees as classes are prorated for late registrations.  
  • Payment options;
  • 1) Cheques should be made to Laura Hasthorpe, #303, 189 East 16th Ave, Vancouver V5T 4R2. Please write your name, phone number, child's name and class day and time on the cheque.
  • 2)  Online payments will be available soon.
  • No space is guaranteed until payment is recieved. Priority will be given to parents that are re-registering and class times will be available to them in advance. 

POLICY

  1. No space is guaranteed until payment is recieved.
  2. A waiting list operates when classes are full, please call 604 730 5418. 
  3. Registration; Colourstrings classes run like school (Sep-June), therefore your child will accumulate many important skills by attending weekly classes on a regular basis. Parents wishing to re-register for the following session will be given priority over newcomers with regards to class schedules\spaces and these will be available in advance. 
  4. NO REFUNDS. Refunds are avoided for temporary absence (Holidays etc.) . The loss of revenue would soon lead to increased fees for everyone.
  5. Non-enrolled Siblings. Due to limited class sizes, classes can only accommodate non-enrolled siblings when the sibling is under 10 months and contented in a car seat or old enough to read in the corner. This is your special time to spend with your toddler. Please let us know if you are planning to bring a younger sibling when registering so that we can keep track of numbers.
  6. In the event of a teachers illness or inclement weather lessons will be made up or carried forward to the next session.
